What are the National Promotions and PR Campaigns and how are they different?

NFRA is the proud sponsor of three annual retail promotions: March Frozen Food MonthJune Dairy Month and June/July Summer Favorites Ice Cream & Novelties. These promotions educate and drive consumers to the frozen and refrigerated aisles, ultimately increasing sales across all categories. The broad reach of these promotions is enhanced even more with NFRA’s PR campaigns and initiatives, which support manufacturer and retailer promotional sales strategies and messaging platforms.

Since 2013, NFRA has been working with top PR agency Edelman in the creation and execution of two consumer PR campaigns that share the frozen and refrigerated food stories through messaging platforms, robust media relations programs, innovative media partnerships and other new and engaging ways to reach consumers. These two campaigns garnered over 910 million impressions in 2017 alone, a dramatic increase over impressions from previous years.

What is the difference between the NFRA Executive Conference and the NFRA Convention?

The NFRA Executive Conference is held each April, and is a smaller more relaxed event than the NFRA Convention. The Executive Conference brings the industry leaders together to discuss the most recent trends, challenges and opportunities facing the entire industry.

The NFRA Convention is held each October, and focuses on one-on-one customer business meetings. Rather than a busy, noisy trade-show floor, your time is spent in productive individual meetings. The real value of this Convention is that all the major companies in the industry – retailers, manufacturers, sales agents, logistics providers, suppliers – are all in one place. So it’s possible to hold dozens of meetings in just a few days.
