The changing of seasons means new, fresh flavors that pair perfectly with frozen and refrigerated products that are accessible, convenient and enhance the overall flavor of meals and snacks. The freshness and quality of real ingredients means consumers can make completely custom meals and flavor creations.

Cool Food for Kids Nutrition Education Program

NFRA’s Cool Food for Kids educational outreach program brings the message that frozen and refrigerated foods are versatile, convenient and easy products for children, young adults and parents to create fresh, quality meals. NFRA teamed up with education curriculum specialists, Young Minds Inspired (YMI), to develop educational materials that promote healthy food choices and active lifestyles among students and their families. The program also emphasizes the importance of family mealtime and how the convenience and quality of frozen and refrigerated foods can make mealtime planning easier.

Advertising TIP

Always think “outside of the box” and search for unique advertising and promotional vehicles to reach your target audiences. For a Cool Food for Kids theme, consider the many Back to School Family Nights and Parent Education Nights – where you could possibly sponsor a part of the event, participate in healthy back-to-school messaging and reach the many parents and families involved in school community events. Consider sampling and coupons for creating interest and driving future sales.
